Benji' sisters and mother are given seats from the five uncles, who rise to stand instead. Meanwhile, Benji hasn't shown up to the game, instead he's in the forest while his sisters/ mom go to the game. Instead, she's her usual blunt self yet she seems to get through to the team. Peter pushes Zackell to give an inspirational speech to the boys. I'm glad this one is complete, though I think Backman is a brilliant writer this book is my least favourite of his works so far.Ĭhapter 39/40 begin with Peter being unable to ignore the chanting at the arena.
